Delete your account

You can delete your Quotely account at any time, from inside the app, without contacting us. Deletion happens straight away — there is no cooling-off period and no way to recover the account afterwards.

1Delete in the app

This is the fastest route and it needs no help from us.

1. Open Quotely and sign in.
2. Go to Settings → Privacy & data.
3. Tap Delete account.
4. Type DELETE to confirm.

We ask you to type the word rather than tap a button so the account cannot be deleted by accident. No password is needed. Once confirmed, the deletion runs immediately.

2Request by email

If you cannot sign in — for example you have lost access to your email address or your device — write to privacy@quotely.ie from the address on the account, with the subject Delete my account.

We may need to verify your identity before acting, so that we do not delete an account on someone else’s say-so. We respond within 30 days, and usually much sooner.

3What is deleted

Your login is permanently deleted. You will not be able to sign in again, and the account cannot be restored.

If you are the owner of a business account, we also:

• Delete every file you uploaded — logos, receipt photos, job attachments
• Anonymise your customers’ names and email addresses
• Anonymise the client details and notes on your quotes, invoices, jobs and variations
• Revoke every public quote, invoice and variation link so they stop working
• Remove your business from the public directory and anonymise its reviews
• Remove your team members’ access to the business
• Delete your billing records with Stripe and RevenueCat

If you are a team member rather than the owner, deleting your account removes your login and your access to that team. The business account and its data are not deleted, because they do not belong to you.

4What is kept

Your business records are deleted, not kept. Quotes, invoices, jobs, customers, materials and calendar entries are all removed along with the account. Personal details are anonymised first, so nothing identifying survives even momentarily, and the records themselves are then erased.

We also keep security audit events — a record that a deletion happened, and when — for 7 years. This is what lets us demonstrate that we honoured your request.

Export your data first if you need it. Irish tax rules require you to keep your own invoice records for six years, and we cannot recover them for you after deletion. Before deleting, go to Settings → Privacy & data → Request all my data to download a copy.

5Subscriptions

Deleting your Quotely account does not cancel a subscription bought through the App Store. Apple bills that separately, and it will keep renewing until you cancel it with them.

Cancel it in Apple Subscriptions before or after deleting your account — deletion is available either way. If you subscribed on the web, your Stripe subscription is cancelled automatically as part of the deletion.
